چکیده
Abstract Metamaterials are a class of non-natural materials with special properties, the microstructure which does not exist in nature. By artificially designing structure such materials, they can acquire electromagnetic properties that conventional nature do have. Electromagnetically induced transparency refers to process quantum interference effect between atomic energy levels microscopic systems, makes an energy-transmitting window appear original energy-absorbing region, simply put, medium strongly absorbs certain frequency light beam, and when another beam is applied, absorption first by will be greatly reduced or no longer absorbed. This phenomenon called electromagnetically transparency, EIT for short. In this paper, we combine graphene material improve manipulability obtain controllable based on multi-mode coupled extension.

An electromagnetic modulator based on electrically controllable metamaterial analogue to electromagnetically induced transparency
Electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) is a promising technology for the enhancement of light-matter interactions, and recent demonstrations of the EIT analogue realized in artificial micro-structured medium have remarkably reduced the extreme requirement for experimental observation of EIT spectrum. In this paper, we propose to electrically control the EIT-like spectrum in a metamateri...
متن کاملOptical properties of electromagnetically induced transparency
A review of electromagnetically induced transparency is given. A semiclassical Hamiltonian is used to show that atomic coherence can inhibit absorption and enhance dispersion in the adiabatic limit. Experimental demonstrations and applications are discussed. The nonadiabatic effects are derived in the c-number Langevin formalism, and shown to give rise to correlate the phase of two incident fie...
متن کاملElectromagnetically induced transparency with variable coupling-laser linewidth
Resonance transmission in a three-level L-type system of the rubidium D1 line is controlled by adjusting the linewidth of the pumping ~coupling! laser. With the change of pumping-laser linewidth from several MHz to about 100 MHz, the absorption reduction degrades from about 70% to less than 15%. The experimentally measured results are in good agreement with a simple theoretical calculation. @S1...

Transparent device is deliberately-designed electromagnetic structure that is transparent to electromagnetic wave. It can be used as a radome structure which is capable of protection antenna inside without sacrificing its performance. In this paper, two-dimensional (2D) arbitrary shape electromagnetic transparent device is designed based on transformation optics. Laplace’s equation is adopted t...
متن کاملTailoring electromagnetically induced transparency with different coupling mechanisms
Tailoring electromagnetically induced transparency with two different coupling mechanisms has been numerically demonstrated. The results show that EIT based on simultaneous electric resonance and magnetic resonance has relatively larger coupling distance compared with that based on electric resonance near field coupling to magnetic resonance. The relatively large coupling distance is due to the...
